Plagiarism is the copying a word written by other person. Some forms are obvious such as, copying the entire section, but some are less obvious, mixing ideas of the author and you. This makes the information mostly yours but also the author’s. It doesn’t become fully yours unless you cite the work. Plagiarism allows the person to take credit for the author’s words. At Florida State University, plagiarism is against the morals leading to a zero on the assignment and/or academic probation. Avoiding plagiarism can be easy. The person can summarize the writing. They can also take notes on the research and categorize it while taking notes. They can use multiple sources throughout the research to allow there not to be plagiarism as well.
